While players like Ofoyrwoth and Nsekuye have been out of action for a while now, Magomu has not missed a single game, and his numbers keep growing.
Stanbic Black Pirates captain Ivan Magomu has continued to be ever-present for his side in the ongoing Nile Special Rugby Premier League.
And his presence on the pitch continues to produce positives for the club in the chase for a second league title.
As the Sea Robbers pummelled Rhinos 45-00 at Kings’ Park Arena on Saturday, Magomu continued to rack in the points, cementing his place on top of the scoring charts this season.
The flyhalf contributed 13 points on Saturday, with eight coming off his boot as he converted four of the seven tries ran in by Pirates.
The Rugby Cranes captain also crossed the white chalk to complete his man-of-the-match performance.
With the 13 points on Saturday, Magomu’s tally for the season is now at 111 points, 26 ahead of the chasing pack that involves Aaron Ofoyrwoth and Joseph Aredo, both on 85 points.
Makerere Impis flyhalf Henry Nsekuye, who has been out of action since Game Week eight, is fourth with 84 points, while top try scorer Pius Ogena has accumulated 80 and completes the top five.
For Magomu, it has been all about consistency in availability and performance on the pitch.

RUGBY Pirates send off coach Bobby with a bonus point win over Rhinos
The Stanbic Black Pirates Director of Rugby/coach Robert ‘Bobby’ Musinguzi got a befitting send-off as his side earned 45-0 bonus point win over Rhinos in the Nile Special Rugby Premiership on Saturday at the Kings Park Arena in Bweyogerere.
While players like Ofoyrwoth and Nsekuye have been out of action for a while now, Magomu has not missed a single game, and his numbers keep growing.
In total, Pirates ran in seven tries and five conversions against the Rhinos to give their league-winning coach Bobby Musinguzi a befitting farewell.
And Magomu was in sublime form yet again, dictating matters, creating and scoring for the club to move to within one point of table leaders Heathens.
The clash with Heathens on Saturday will provide yet another platform for Magomu to shine and add more points to his name but, most importantly, help the Pirates stay in the title conversation until the end.
