Jinja Fun Rugby is held every Good Friday for the last 18 years save for 2020 when it was affected by covid-19.
At least five Kenyan teams will participate in this year’s Jinja Fun Rugby which will be held on Good Friday at the Kakindu Stadium, the organisers have confirmed.
Holders Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology will lead the contingent across the border as they plan to defend their trophy.
The others are Western Bulls, Kabras Sugar, Busia Border Rucks and Kisumu RFC.
Dozen
A total of twelve professional teams, including Hippos, Rams, Entebbe Mongers, Walukuba Barbarians and their junior side Trojans, Busitema Boons and Tororo J’akwo Pere.
Ewes, Thunderbirds, Nile Rapids, and T-Birds will tussle for the top prize in the ladies category.
A number of fans teams are expected to register to play in the amateur category.
This year’s edition is the 18th since the tournament was launched.
