Former Kenya Sevens star Dennis Ombachi has struck a mouth-watering partnership with the Thailand Embassy that will see both parties enroll on a food diplomacy and culture exchange programme.
Ombachi, who has become an internet sensation due to his culinary skills ever since he opted to hang up his boots, is excited about “exploring the rich tapestry of Thai cuisine and culture”.
“Thrilled to announce my collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy on a journey of food diplomacy and cultural exchange,” Ombachi wrote on his X page.

Ombachi's rise to become a reknowed chef has been an interesting one considering he started cooking during the COVID -19 pandemic.
In a previous interview, the self-taught chef openly discussed experiencing depression as a result of his injuries.
"I used to spend a lot of time watching videos of people cooking, especially during my recovery period," he said.
He said that it was through the cooking videos that he found inspiration to venture into creating his cooking content and thus the 'Roaming Chef' alias was born.
He shared brief videos of him cooking on the balcony during the pandemic and quickly gained popularity.
His distinctive exclamation of 'done!' after each cooking step adds an entertaining touch to the experience of witnessing him transform ingredients into a whole meal.
