Nsekuye insists not all is lost after their first loss on Saturday and that the defeat can only serve as a wake up call to the Impis, which they should not allow to keep them down.
For the first time this season, Henry Nsekuye was lost for words. This after Impis succumbed to a 55-10 loss to Heathens, their first league defeat this season in the Nile Special Rugby Premiership.
Nsekuye insists not all is lost after their first loss on Saturday and that the defeat can only serve as a wake up call to the Impis, which they should not allow to keep them down.
"This is just a wake-up call for us to work harder; six games in with about twelve more,” Nsekuye said, adding; “There is still more to play for and more points to get. One loss won't put us down, we shall build on it.”
“But we have to learn how to play when we are a man down because it happened on Saturday." The fly-half also noted that the team needed to touch up a few basics to get going again.
"We need to pass when we have to, and we also need to improve on our pitch awareness, so going forward, we have to improve on those pointers."
Heathens crossed the white line through Aaron Ofoywroth's hat-trick of tries while captain Michael Wokorach added two.
Scot Olouch, Nicholas Kato, and Herbert Champara are the others that managed a try each.
Ivan Otai scored Impis' only try of the game with Nsekuye converting and scoring a penalty.
Impis will now focus on their next assignment when they host buffaloes next on matchday seven.
