Pirates lead the table with 44 points after winning the first two rounds, as Kobs and Heathens follow with 36 and 32, while Hippos climbed to fourth with 31 points.
Jinja Hippos head coach Saidi Atibu is confident that his team is back on track in their quest to defend the Nile Special Sevens title.
The Jinja side stunned the big boys to win their first major title last year, but their start to this season did not start well.
The Hippos failed to progress past the quarterfinals in their own Stone City 7s, ending up sixth but went up to the final in the second leg in Kitgum.

Jinja Hippos captain Tawfiq Bagalana rejoined the team in the Nile Special Sevens in Kitgum.
Atibu remarks that his team has started getting the basics right but needs to improve more to match their aspirations.
“Combinations of players is coming through well, and our systems of attack and defence are coming out as well,” Atibu told Pulse Sports.
“The boys also understand the task at hand and the loss to the Pirates, which was a giveaway to them largely because of bad playing habits, which we will work on in this break. We will come back stronger,” he added.
