Nondies beating Harlequin and Mwamba blowing playoff hopes with Nakuru loss aside, here is a recap of the remaining games of the last Kenya Cup regular season matchday.

Kabras 14-10 KCB

Kabras RFC capped off a flawless regular season with a hard-fought 14-10 victory against KCB Rugby. The triumph solidified Kabras' undefeated record, securing an impressive 54 out of 55 available points and setting the stage for their upcoming home semi-final and potential final.

Despite the challenges of missing key backline players, including notable names like Jone Kubu and Derrick Ashihundu, Kabras showcased resilience by relying on returning players Brian Tanga and Walter Okoth.

The match kicked off with KCB Rugby stunning the home crowd, as Darwin Mukidza exploited Kabras' defense to score a try, converted by Trevor IOdawa, giving KCB an early 7-0 lead. Kabras quickly countered, with skipper George Nyambua crossing over for a try. Ntabeni Dukisa's missed conversion left the scores at 7-5 in favor of KCB.

KCB faced adversity when Festus Shiasi received a yellow card for a high tackle on Ntabeni Dukisa. Kabras capitalized on the numerical advantage, with Dukisa converting a penalty, ending the first half 8-7 in Kabras' favor.

In the second half, Kabras extended their lead with Dukisa successfully converting two penalties within five minutes, bringing the score to 14-7. The intensity of the match led to yellow cards for both sides, with Walter Okoth and Kolian Persina being sent off for 10 minutes each.

Despite KCB's persistent efforts, including a penalty from Mukidza, the match evolved into a kicking battle, with handling errors preventing further tries. The final score stood at 14-10, cementing Kabras RFC's dominance and concluding an outstanding regular season.

As Kabras RFC looks ahead to the playoffs, their unbeaten run serves as a testament to their skill, determination, and ability to overcome challenges, setting the stage for an exciting journey towards Kenya Cup glory.

Kisumu 23-17 Strathmore Leos

Kisumu RFC confirmed they will be playing in the Kenya Cup next season with a win over Strathmore Leos, effectively ruling their March 13 clash against Black Blad as a dead rubber. Black Blad themselves were handed a walkover by relegated Homeboyz, getting a 24-0 win to claim sixth on 24 points, but their position is not assured yet should they lose to Kisumu.
