The Shujaa legend has explained what he thinks the new technical bench will add to the squad as Kenya seeks to return to its glory days
Kenya sevens legend Collins Injera has revealed why Kevin Wambua is the right man for the Shujaa job after he was confirmed as the man to lead the team last week.
Wambua served as an assistant to the departing Damian McGrath before being given the head coach position on a four-month contract, which will be reviewed based on performance.
The Kenya Rugby Union also reconstituted the technical bench with Strathmore Leos coach Louis Kisia coming in as Wambua's assistant, while former Kenya Sevens skipper Andrew Amonde will take charge of the strength and conditioning department.

The tactician added that they will also be able to enjoy the presence of all the national team players.
Injera believes that Wambua’s appointment was long overdue and that he is the ideal person for the job,
“I think it was a long time coming. Kevin is a very good coach. He has coached me as a player. I have been with him in the setup, the sevens setup as well,” Injera told Pulse Sports.
“I think he has great ideas. It is good for him and his career to be named the Kenya Sevens head coach.
“He is very passionate. I wish him all the best because if he keeps doing what he is doing, (he will be successful). He understands the game very well and is very interested in coaching.”

Kulabu have finished fifth in all the legs of the circuit this season.
The 37-year-old also praised the appointments of his support staff, especially former Shujaa captain Andrew Amonde who he believes will reinstall discipline and culture to the side.
“He has been given a support staff of Andrew Amonde, coming into the side as assistant coach. He will try and reinstall the culture back into the team and a bit of discipline," added Injera.
“Louis Kisia, very good coach from Strathmore who has done some good things with the side. I wish them all the best and I cannot wait to see what they are going to come up with.”
Englishman Chris Brown, who had a stint with the Kenya Sevens between 2012-2013 under then-head coach Mike Friday, will be the strength and conditioning consultant as Steve Sewe returns as team manager, a job he left in 2016.
Lameck Bogonko will continue in his role as team physio while team manager Eric Ogweno will handle liaison responsibilities
