They went, they played and conquered. The Black Pearls registered their first ever victory outside the confines of Uganda, they defeated Kenyan out fit Impala Roans 21-0 in a club friendly played on Saturday at the Impala grounds in Nairobi, Kenya.

"I plan ahead, so I did a lot of work well in advance. I still have a lot of work to do though this is just the beginning." Black Pearls co-founder and coach player Hellen Buteme tweeted on her official Twitter handle.
The friendly game that was organized based on building relations between the Kenyan side, and the Black Pearls thanked the Kenyan side for the hospitality.
"Thanks, Impala, for hosting us for the 1st of many cross-border matches between Black Pearls & Impala Roans," a tweet on the Black Pearls handle read.
"Saturday was a great advertisement for women's rugby and we look forward to forging stronger bonds."
The Impala Roans replied: "We take this chance to thank you very much for honouring our invitation, Lessons picked as we look forward to playing you again in future.”
"Some good brand of rugby was on display, and the crowd enjoyed it. Safe travels back home, and cheers,” the tweeted added.
The Black Pearls, reigning champions of both the 15s and 7s national titles were formed in 2018 and are a sister side to the Stanbic Black Pirates.
They are the first women's rugby club to play a friendly outside of Uganda.
