When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, so they say. The ever-jolly Isaac Rujumba is doing just exactly that after the Uganda Rugby Union slapped him with a raft of sanctions after demanding Jinja Hippos’ National Sevens prize money in his usual tone.
The former national team star was ordered by the union to undertake a Level One referee training, submit himself to running touch for six games during the ongoing school’s Rugby League, retract his “misleading tweets” before Monday next week, and personally apologize to all stakeholders that he had attacked.

He came out this weekend and stated that he will comply with the recommendations but, in his usual form, aimed a sly dig at the union.
“[I’m] Overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from fans and players from all corners. I am duly honored," said before adding;
“Looking forward to being the fastest ref ever. To play the sport I love, I'll follow the recommendations. The voice of truth, just like the forces of change, can never be stopped.”
