The visibly excited Pirates Rugby Club head coach was swamped with appreciation messages for his efforts this season.
Marvin Odongo, just like the Pirates Rugby Club fans and players, joined in the celebration at full time as they punched the air and hugged each other after the team's 23-07 win over Kobs to claim a second Nile Special Rugby Premiership title.
The visibly excited Pirates Rugby Club head coach was swamped with appreciation messages for his efforts this season.
And having won it as a player in 2018, Odongo says it's a great feeling to reach the milestone of winning the league as a player and coach at the same club.
"Winning the league as a player and coach at the same club is a great feeling," Odongo told Pulse Sports.
"The boys did it for me because they had the self-belief and trust amongst themselves that we have been preaching," he added.
However, the former Rugby Cranes star is wary of complacency, insisting everyone has to stay grounded and work towards a flawless season.

RUGBY Kobs lacked the composure and mental fortitude to go past Pirates
The Blue Army conceded three penalties in the first half before two second-half tries from Timothy Odong and Desire Ayera, with Ivan Magomu making the extras count as he ensured victory for the visitors.
"We need to remain grounded; we are far from our target and competition, this wasn't a flawless season, yet we should aim to have one."
"We want to have a season where we go unbeaten or probably score bonus points in every game we play; that's what a flawless season looks like," Odongo noted.
Marvin Odongo broke onto the scene in 2012 as he won the Elgon Cup on his debut with the Rugby Cranes but suffered a career-threatening injury in 2018 against Kenya in Nairobi.
Odongo suffered a glabellar bone and a fracture of the nasal complex plus maxilla, and even though he returned to full fitness, he has never played active rugby again.
'Blaq Skin' then settled for a coaching role at Pirates. He worked closely with coach Robert 'Bobby' Musinguzi, who later handed over the coaching reins to become Director of Rugby but later left the club due to work commitments.
