The Stanbic Black Pirates rugby club caused a buzz when they unveiled their latest gear for the season.
The kit unveiling was done alongside announcing a two-year contract extension with Stanbic Bank as the main shirt sponsor at the bank's head offices in Kampala on Friday morning.
The kit was unveiled through an eye-catching video featuring some players who captain Ivan Magomu, Conrad Wanyama and Ivan Ruhweza led.
However, the kit's design has got many people talking, have likened the new Pirates kit to that of Kenyan rugby side Mwamba which Stanbic Bank also sponsors.
A closer look at both jerseys shows a striking resemblance, with only the logos differing.
Rugby Cranes star Phillip Wokorach commended the pirates for the jersey: "Don't hate the jersey is fire, more so made by the best samurai."
"Wamma mukulike empale za national team, meaning finally you won't wear national team shorts anymore."
Posha Aloyo, a sworn Pirates fan, clapped back at those who claimed the design was a copy and paste.
"Copy and paste, gang. Are you blind? Having the same main sponsor is confusing you."
Sports and Entertainment photographer Baron Edgar suggested the kit was a copy and paste when he tweeted, "Copy and put in chatGPT, then paste."
