Kobs RFC boosted their chances of winning silverware this season after winning the Nile Special Tooro Sevens in Fort Portal to take control of the table.

The result sent them on top with 77 points, three ahead of Pirates, who have been leading the log from the first three circuits.

The Pirates could only manage 13 points from Fort Portal after settling fifth.

Heathens follow in third place with 62 points as defending champions Jinja Hippos trail in fourth with 58 points, 19 behind the new table leaders.

Tournament surprise package, Mongers climbed one place up to sixth with 50 points.

Rhinos, Impis, Walukuba Barbarians, Rams and Warriors follow in that descending order.

In the ladies’ category, Black Pearls lead with 83 points, six ahead of Avengers who they beat in the Tooro final. Thunderbirds follow in third with 72 points while Nile Rapids are fourth with 60.
