Prop Collins Kimbowa is one of those who has turned his focus on the final bend of the season stressing that the two losses over Heathens won’t deter Kobs from fighting until the end.
Kobs management might still be trying to seek redress from the Uganda Rugby Union regarding the controversial ending of their 19-12 loss to Heathens in the Lions Cup of the Nile Special Rugby Premier League on Saturday, but the players have moved on.
Prop Collins Kimbowa is one of those who has turned his focus on the final bend of the season stressing that the two losses over Heathens won’t deter Kobs from fighting until the end.
“It hasn’t been a bad season for us, many thought we would lose our momentum when the sevens players left, but we have remained steadfast,” Kimnowa told Pulse Sports.
“Yes, we have lost to Heathens twice, but we are three points behind them on the log, so we have to take every game as a final.”
“We just have to win the remaining games with a bonus point, and it will put us in a better place.”
He also added: “We had a good attack, but not scoring a try affected us. I also give it up to Heathens, who had a good defence.”
“I think the league will go down to the wire because I don’t see this season being won before it ends.”
Kimbowa was speaking after receiving the Real Stars Rugby Player for March award after he helped Kobs win all their five games in that month.

RUGBY Kobs want Heathens game replayed with competent referee in charge
It is not the first time Kobs are complaining about referees, and Luggya says they have engaged the Uganda Rugby Union about the same official in the past.
Kobs sit second on the Nile Special Rugby Premiership log with 56 points, three behind arch-rivals and table leaders in Platinum Credit Heathens after 13 game weeks with five games to go.
