With both teams level on points (75), the game could go either way, but Gongodyo says paying more attention to detail and being clinical will be critical for the sea robbers.
Black Pirates' Sydney Gongodyo has stressed the need for his side to be mentally strong and more clinical on Saturday during the Nile Special Rugby Premiership finale against Kobs.
With both teams level on points (75), the game could go either way, but Gongodyo says paying more attention to detail and being clinical will be critical for the sea robbers.
"Mentally, we have to be up there but also pay more attention to detail on top of doing our best; Kobs are a very physical side, so we have to out-march them," Gongodyo told Pulse Sports.
"We also have to be clinical, which I think we haven't been this season; we've played games where we get out of the blocks fast but let teams come back into the game, so we must avoid that against Kobs."
The Pirates flanker, who was also named the Real Stars Sports Awards rugby player for April after playing a pivotal role as his side picked up four league wins, says he is happy his efforts are being recognized.

RUGBY Kickoff time for the Rugby League title decider between Kobs and Pirates moved
Pulse Sports can confirm that the kickoff time for the Kobs and Black Pirates fixture, scheduled to kick off at 2:30 pm, has now been moved to 4 pm, with the date and venue remaining unchanged.
"This means a lot to me on a personal level; feels great to see my work being appreciated; the drive has always been to help the team compete for the championship, so hopefully, we win on Saturday," he noted.
Gongodyo scored the only try during Pirates' 8-6 win over Heathens as the sea robbers completed a double over the Kyadondo-based side, picking up the Man of the Match award as well.
