Heathens will be hoping to use the home advantage to pull away from the Sea Robbers and get closer to defending the title.

Only one point separates Nile Special Rugby Premier League table leaders Platinum Credit Heathens and third-placed Stanbic Black Pirates with four games to the end of the season.

Heathens are on 62 points while Pirates have 61 and are tied on points with Kobs, albeit the latter have a much healthier points difference.

Number One and Three will meet Saturday afternoon at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds with a lot at stake in the title race.

Heathens will be hoping to use the home advantage to pull away from the Sea Robbers and get closer to defending the title.

On the other hand, Pirates cannot afford to allow Heathens gain further ground with games running out.

Marvin Odongo's charges came out on top, 24-18, the last time the two sides met, in the season's opening clash at Kings Park Arena.

There will undoubtedly be benefits and ramifications on Saturday. Kobs has the easier fixture on paper among the teams in the top three.

Their visit to Jinja to face Walukuba Barbarians will be considered a poor one if they return with no bonus point.

And that can only mean that whoever slips up at Kyadondo could be in massive trouble in the race to the title.

Victory for Muhammad Athiyo's side would almost certainly leave them with one hand on the trophy.

Having already played Kobs in the second round, the Heathens have Pirates as the most challenging opponents left on their schedule.

"We have no option but to win, something we shall try our level best to do," Pirates' captain Ivan Magomu told Pulse Sports ahead of the game.

Since losing their opening game of the season, the Heathens have gone on to win 13 in a row.

Their controversial 19-12 win over Kobs was enough to push them to the top of the log.

Pirates had their winning run halted by Kobs on Game Week Seven and have since gone on to win seven consecutively.

The manner in which Heathens struggled to get past Toyota Buffaloes last weekend will encourage the Sea Robbers.

Heathens hobbled over the line to win 20-19 in the Kyadondo derby and missed out on a bonus point.

What was a difference of two points at the top became one after Pirates and Kobs picked bonus point wins against the Rhinos and Rams, respectively.

And any slip-ups on Saturday could spell doom for the home side, with Kobs ready to pounce and reclaim the top spot.

Heathens continue to rely on their balance of experience and youth. Scot Oluoch and Chris Lubanga are the seasoned campaigners leading the title charge in support of the new kids on the block, the likes of Claude Otema and Innocent Gwokto.

For Pirates, Magomu, the league's top points scorer, continues to captain the ship in the direction of repeating the 2017-18 league-winning heroics.
