Stanbic Pirates rolled off their Nile Special Sevens campaign in style by winning the Stone City 7s in Jinja on Sunday.
Pirates, who seemed to have fallen on an easier path to the final, proved their worth by beating Kobs 19-07 in the final.
To reach the final, Pirates cruised through Toyota Buffaloes and Impis in the quarterfinals and semis, respectively.
Kobs had to manoeuvre their eay through defending winners Jinja Hippos and Heathens in the respective knockouts.
Justine Kimono's converted try earlier in the game put six-time winners Kobs, but Timothy Kisiga replied in style shortly after.
Arnold Atukunda and Kisiga crossed the lines twice as William Nkore worked on the conversions to seal the result and win for Pirates.
Lady Cranes' first team won the inaugural women's edition. The team was taking part as an invitational team.
Pirates' Timothy Kisiga was named the most valuable player of the tournament after his heroics guided the Sea Robbers to the victory.
The next circuit heads northwards to Kitgum town on July 8th and 9th.
