As the countdown to the Nile Special Rugby League finale between Kobs and Pirates edges closer, both camps are raring to go.
Allan Musoke, a former two-time league MVP and wing for the Rugby Cranes and Kobs, knows precisely what it will come down to on Saturday.
And he says loose forward Pius Ogena can spur Kobs to victory and break the most tries in a single season.
"I think there is no better person to achieve it (tries record) than him," Musoke told Pulse Sports before adding.
"He has put in the work; we just need him big on Saturday; he is a massive boost to the team when on fire."
Ogena equalled Musoke and Justine Kimono's record of 22 tries in a single season during Kobs' bonus point win over Impis last Saturday.
With a game left, Ogena can eclipse the record and set a new try-scoring record, something Musoke says was going to happen at one time, although he is happy it's a Kobs player.
"The record had to be broken one day, of course, by a Kobs player, which feels great."
Kobs lead the Nile Special Rugby Premiership table standings with 75 points, level with Black Pirates.
Heathens come in third on 72 points, with all teams having played 17 games.
