Springbok captain Siya Kolisi returned to social media after his divorce announcement, celebrating a Sharks victory and reaffirming his commitment to family, rugby, and community through the Kolisi Foundation.

Two-time Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok captain and flanker for the Hollywoodbets Sharks Siya Kolisi has broken his silence since the news of his split from wife Rachel.

Kolisi, who has been a pivotal presence on and off the field, returned to his social platforms after a triumphant win with the Hollywoodbets Sharks in the United Rugby Championship, where they defeated Munster 41-24 at Kings Park Stadium.

Following the game, Kolisi took to Instagram and expressed appreciation for the unwavering support from his fans and the Sharks community.

"Thank you so much for all the support @sharksrugby family and the people of KZN," he shared in his first public post since the announcement of his divorce.

"Great to be back here. See you soon."

The 33-year-old played a solid 71 minutes in the Sharks' decisive win, demonstrating his consistent form and dedication to the team.

This latest performance marks a series of strong showings for Kolisi, who has been a core part of the Sharks' lineup since his return in September.

Earlier this year, Kolisi had made a pivotal decision to leave Racing 92. His choice was driven by a desire to focus on his physical well-being and to ensure he could meet the demands of representing South Africa at the international level.

"When I arrived in Paris, I didn’t know what the future of my international career was," he stated recently.

"But when I started playing for the national team again, I realized my body needed rest."

Kolisi shared that, despite his passion for Racing 92, he felt unable to balance club and country commitments, prompting his return to South Africa.

This move has allowed him to recharge and refocus, ensuring he is in prime condition to lead his nation while continuing to make valuable contributions to the Sharks.

Off the field, Kolisi’s life has been in the spotlight following his and Rachel’s joint statement on their separation.

The couple, who share two children and have also adopted Kolisi’s younger siblings, announced the decision was mutual and came after a period of reflection.

The Kolisis assured fans that their bond as co-parents and partners in the Kolisi Foundation remains unbroken. Their joint mission to uplift communities and make a positive difference continues, even as they transition their relationship to a new chapter.

Kolisi and Rachel’s journey together began in May 2012 after they met at a dinner party following a rugby match at Newlands Stadium.

Their love story blossomed, and by August 13, 2016, they had tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony at the Molenvliet Wine Estate near Stellenbosch.

The lush vineyards and oak trees of the estate set a beautiful stage for what became a deeply rooted partnership, marked by shared values and a commitment to family and community.

The Kolisis’ shared ventures, including the Kolisi Foundation, have been a testament to their dedication to creating positive social impact.

They remain aligned in their vision and dedication to empowering communities across South Africa.

Even as their romantic relationship evolves they remain united in their commitment to their children and the causes they hold dear.
