Nigerian football fans can look forward to seeing legends like Adebayor, Eto’o, and Drogba in Abuja for a charity match.

A charity game with former great football players like Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor, Samuel Eto'o, and Emmanuel Eboue is scheduled to take place in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

A few more retired players, like Austin "Jay-Jay" Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu, will also compete in the Charity Champions' Cup match on June 15, 2024, according to the event's organizers, Attom Foundation.

The match will be utilized to collect money for charitable causes in Nigeria, according to the organizers, who made this announcement at a press conference in Lekki, Lagos.

The first-ever event, which is being organized to benefit the visually impaired, is scheduled to take place at the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) National Stadium in Abuja.

At the press conference, Yahaya Attom, the founder of the Attom Foundation, stated to the reporters that he founded the organization to fulfill his responsibility to support the underprivileged in society.

Actor and comedian Stanley Chibuna, better known by his stage as Funny Bone, added that they chose to use football as the inspiration for the production.

In addition to the football players already mentioned, the charity match will feature Super Eagles players Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Kenneth Omeruo.

Legends like Vincent Enyeama and El-Hadji Diouf will be competing, along with a few Super Falcons players like Asisat Oshoala and Michelle Alozie.

Along with former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, other notable Nigerians such as Tiwa Savage, Ayo Makun, Akpororo, and Nedu Ani will add even more energy to the occasion.
