He said, “I am happy with the Nigerian team’s performance at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations,”

“The principal officers of the National Assembly and the two Committees on Sports will also be in Cote d’Ivoire to watch the quarter-finals with Angola.”
The senator also touched on the persistent rumors regarding coach Jose Peseiro's future.

The game between Nigeria and Angola is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024.
The Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium will host the game.
