It is a party vibe when Alex Iwobi turns up to wear the Super Eagles Green and White.
Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has praised the Super Eagles of Nigeria set up as having a party vibe.
Iwobi was last called up to the Super Eagles of Nigeria set up for the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) doubleheader against Guinea-Bissau.
As a guest on a recent podcast titled Behind the Game, Iwobi talked about the vibe with the Nigerian senior men's national football team.
Iwobi was on the podcast with Arsenal legend Ian Wright, Ezra Collective a British jazz band that involves stars of Nigerian descent such as drummer and bandleader Femi Koleoso and bassist TJ Koleoso.
Iwobi played for Arsenal for 15 years, starting as a youngster in 2004. During that time, he made 149 senior games and scored 15 goals.
On the podcast, he discussed the conversations that resulted in his sensational transfer deadline day switch to Everton in 2019.
He said, “So it got to deadline day, I’m on a yacht with my family. Minimal signal, I don’t know how but all of a sudden, I’ve got a signal.
“And my agent’s calling me saying, ‘ah, Everton want to push the move’
"Marco Silva has called me himself, and he’s saying that, ‘ah, we really want you to come, we have a role for you'."

Alex Iwobi also talked about the influence of the Super Eagles vibe set up on helping him overcome his bad situation at Everton last season.
He said, "Luckily for me, I would always go with my national team and do okay.
"Everyone comes there like it almost like a party like you just forget about all your problems everyone just wants to play football with a smile on their face and want to entertain
"It's just a culture that Nigeria brings, when you go to a game you're hearing trumpets, hearing drums, hearing everything.
