In the eighteenth minute, Bay increased their lead to two goals when Rachel Hill slid onto a cross and finished it in the goal.
After intercepting a pass from Bay FC goalie Katelyn Rowland and scoring into an open net, Sophia Smith drew one back in the 34th minute.

In the seventy-first minute, Joelle Anderson's long-range strike gave Bay FC their third goal of the evening and a 3-1 lead.
The host team would lose 3-1 as a consequence of the Thorns' inability to score again.
