Remember Rob Walker? The British sports broadcaster who wove lyrical praises about Uganda’s beauty while commentating on the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games?

The unsolicited praise for Uganda did catch the attention of the government of Uganda, who offered him an all-expense paid trip to experience the flora, fauna, and, of course, the rich athletics talents in the high-altitude district of Kapchorwa.

About two years later, Walker still represents Uganda with nothing but love.

Ahead of the Jogle, a multi-day ultra-marathon that takes place over 17 days covering 860 miles which is 50 miles average each day in the United Kingdom, Walker gave Uganda another free PR.

He posted a selfie on his Twitter account with 34.4K followers, donning a yellow t-shirt inscribed on Uganda, complete with the national flag.

“Less than a month to go till “JOGLE” begins. Gentle 5-mile runs this week before getting back on the bike next week and still recovering from the long stint in Sheffield. Lovely day in Gloucestershire. Summer is coming!” Walker tweeted.

While the UK fans await the Jogle, Uganda’s cream of athletes is looking forward to the World Athletics Championships, Budapest, which is 100 days away.
