Former professional footballer Dani Alves continues to languish in prison, three months since his arrest over rape allegations.
The Brazilian, who awaits trial, spent his 40th birthday (Saturday) at the Brians 2 Prison, after he was accused of raping a woman in a night club in Barcelona on December 30th, 2022.
And, while behind coolers, his ex-wife Dinora Santana and their two teenage children paid him a surprise birthday visit.
Following the visit, Santana, according to Celebtattler.com, said the former Barcelona FC player felt the love, as he had been missing his family
"Dani was moved, he misses the children. It's a difficult time but it's a nice gift for him to have his family come."
"It's hard for the children to see their father, who is innocent; it's very hard," she added.
Santana also revealed she will move to Barcelona along with the children as they show their full support in Alves' trying time.
"Children want to be close to their father and for this, we plan to come and stay with him. Now we are staying for a while but we will be back in June and in September they start school here."
Meanwhile, reports claim it will be extremely hard for the former PSG star to prove his innocence.
Besides Barcelona and PSG, Alves featured for Sevilla, Juventus, Sao Paulo, Bahia and UNAM.
He accumulated 126 caps for the Brazilian national team, and also featured for the Selecao at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
