The 31-year-old Alaba has taken to social media to show off his relationship with God.
Austrian professional footballer of Nigerian descent David Alaba is back on the trends on social media.
The 31-year-old Alaba has taken to social media to show off his relationship with God.
David Alaba reads Bible
Alaba posted photos of him reading the Bible on his official social media platforms.
Along with the photos was a narration by Alaba about his relationship with God.
He wrote, "There is always more in God.
"We were reading about Abraham and his story. God promised him so much but he had to wait for it so long.
"It was hard but at the end God came through! Never stop believing in his promises. If God said it he can do it!
“Abraham did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,” (Romans 4:20)
David Alaba and Wizkid
Alaba's recent revelation about God comes after he attended the massive Rolling Loud concert in Germany.
At the event, Alaba teamed up with Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid.
Wizkid was one of the top performers at the Rolling Loud edition in Munchen, Germany, and Alaba was present.
David Alaba and Nigeria
Alaba, born to a Nigerian Father in Vienna, Austria, continues to connect with his roots.
Alaba earlier went viral on social media after a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Paris.
He has expressed interest in reconnecting with his Nigerian roots through several efforts in development.
He gifted President Tinubu a Real Madrid jersey and posed for pictures with the Nigerian entourage in France.
David Alaba and Toilet
In addition to showing support for the federal government's effort to eradicate open defecation throughout Nigeria, Alaba also made a toilet gesture in Ogere, the location of his roots.
A state-of-the-art biodegradable toilet facility was presented by David Alaba's charity last year to the Ogere Remo community in Ogun State.
According to sources, he intends to construct a football training facility in Nigeria.
The Real Madrid defender has recently been infused with Nigerian culture, as has his sister, Rose Mary Alaba, who was recently spotted in Lagos for a video shoot.
