Canadian rapper and Betting Lord managed a healthy win after placing seven psychotic bets on the Super Bowl LVII.
Drake placed seven insane bets on Sunday's Super Bowl LVII finals and managed to take home a handsome profit despite a below-average win-rate.
The multi–award winning Canadian rapper placed a total of $965k on the bets, and won $1.477 million (N1.1 billion) making an overall profit of $512,000 (N381.4 million), thanks to a win by the Kansas City Chiefs.
In a thrilling encounter at the State Farm Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday, February 12, in Super Bowl LVII.
Harrison Butker's 27-yard field goal with eight seconds to play helped the Chiefs clinch their third Super Bowl in franchise history.
Drake celebrates Super Bowl bet win on social media
Drake celebrated on Instagram, posting a story of Kansas City superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce celebrating, with the caption: 'Pay that man his MONEYYYYYYY Eddie @Stake.'
He wrote on the post: 'My psychotic bets for Sunday are in @stake,'
'Please do not analyze the logic behind these bets there is none.'
How did Drake bet on the Super Bowl LVII final?
Drake put down $700,000 on the Kansas Chiefs to win the title before taking part in some 'smaller' prop bets.
He then placed $50,000 each on Patrick Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster scoring the first Chiefs touchdown, while he also bet the same amount on the Chiefs winning both halves.
Kansas City were left trailing 24-14 at the half, with Jalen Hurts looking unstoppable under center for Philadelphia.
However, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes controlled the second half, outscoring the Eagles 24-11.
Drake also wagered $30,000 on the Chiefs winning each quarter, while he bet $25,000 that Travis Kelce would be named Super Bowl MVP and another $60,000 that the award's winner would be a tight end.
Patrick Mahomes ultimately won the Super Bowl MVP award for the second time in his career after a game-winning 21/27 for 182 yards and three touchdowns.
This is not the first time the superstar rapper, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, has garnered attention for his audacious bets.
Last month, he netted cashed out a $2 million payout by placing a $1 million bet on the Chiefs to win the Bengals in the AFC Championship.
However, the Grammy-Award winner has also recorded some losses along the road.
In December, he bet $1 million on Argentina to beat France in regulation time in the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
However, Argentina ended up defeating France on penalties having been forced into a dramatic shootout.
Before then, Drake also put down $2 million worth of Canadian dollars for Nigeria-New Zealand former UFC Champion Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira at UFC 281.
But the latter ended up winning in the fifth round by technical knockout.
