Usain Bolt’s attempts to get his Godson switch allegiance to struggling Manchester United were not successful as the youngster stayed true to his choice.

Jamaican sprint great Usain Bolt has never hidden his love for Premier League giants Manchester United.

Bolt has followed the team, attended matches and even commented on their results and he is surely among the hurting supporters as Ruben Amorim’s side struggle for consistency on the pitch.

With that kind of struggle, it would be hard to find children willing to support United at the moment and Bolt found out the hard way when his godson ‘embarrassed’ him.

While attending a match in which his godson NJJ, the son of his manager and longtime friend Nugent 'NJ' Walker, was playing, the legendary sprinter found the youngster wearing a Manchester City jersey and was very proud of it.

Bolt, disappointed, tried to force NJJ to take off the shirt. “Take off that shirt,” Bolt told him, but the youngster would hear none of it.

“I don’t want to,” NJJ replied, but Bolt persisted: “What is this, take off that shirt.”

Having failed in his attempt, Bolt gave up and gave the young man an embrace before later expressing his frustration on social media.

“Ppl [people] my god son NJJ sell me out… man a wear the wrong jersey,” Bolt posted on Instagram.

NJJ does not just love football but is also good at athletics, something that has made Bolt proud.

The youngster achieved fifth place in the finals of prep school championships two years ago and seems to be balancing between football and running before later deciding what is good for him.

Bolt makes an effort to be there to support him and the young man is lucky that he has such a legendary figure as the 38-year-old to learn from.
