Drake, Durant, and NBA stars blast Noah Lyles for saying the NBA champions are not 'World Champs'.
Noah Lyles, the American sprint king, offended many people when he ridiculed NBA players for referring to themselves as "world champions" after winning an NBA championship.
At the World Athletic Games in Budapest, Hungary, Lyles recently won three gold medals in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4x100-meter relay events.
He said, "You know what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their head. World champion of what? The United States?!.
"Don't get me wrong, I love the U.S., at times, but that ain't the world. That is not the world. We are the world.
"We have almost every country out here fighting, thriving, putting on their flag to show that they are represented. There ain't no flags in the NBA."
Lyles blasted NBA players after his victory for referring to themselves as "world champions".
He claims they shouldn't have that title since they only compete in the United States and Canada.
