Vinicius Junior has the support of Real Madrid on racism incident after meeting with President Florentino Perez.
Following the racial taunts he endured against Valencia on Sunday night, star player Vinicius Junior met with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.
Vinicius pointed at the offenders in the stands to draw attention to the fact that he was being racially harassed throughout the game.
Valencia has already permanently barred one of the fans who was identified, and it will keep enforcing the same penalty if more are found.
Vinicius, however, has requested that La Liga President Javier Tebas take more sanctions and action.
Vinicius Junior meets Florentino Perez
Perez returns to address the situation after being part of the Real Madrid delegation to watch the basketball team win the EuroLeague against Olympiacos.
On Monday afternoon, Real Madrid said that Perez had met with Vinicius to convey their unwavering support for him and to make it clear that they would pursue justice using all means required.
The club also disclosed that Vinicius had been the target of a hate crime earlier on Monday.
Only a few hours prior, a story from Brazil stated that Vinicius' camp had approached the Brazilian about leaving because they felt he was not receiving the support he needed from either his company or the league.
Naturally, the fact that this help has been provided on the tenth occasion that a formal complaint has also been made would lend credibility to that claim.
Vinicius previously had backing from notable football figures, including Rio Ferdinand, Neymar, and his manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
Following a red card, Vinicius is now expected to be suspended for Real Madrid's next match.
