Many have often described Rickman as a highly talented footballer with pace, great ball control, skill and demeanour.
Musician Rickman Manrick, real name Derrick Ddungu, has opened up on why he quit football at a time when it all looked like he was destined for superstar status.
Many have often described Rickman as a highly talented footballer with pace, great ball control, skill and demeanour.
By the looks of it, Rickman had a very bright football career not once did any of his teammates, coaches or his father, KCCA FC legend Patrick Kabuye, doubt what he could do on the pitch.
However, the footballer later found fame in music thanks to his 'Ebango' hit that introduced him to the Uganda limelight and kept him way up there.
"When my knee got injured in 2016, my football dreams ended," the 'Beautiful Mami' hitmaker revealed in a tweet on Thursday.
"I never got to play for Arsenal or never will, but I have got a chance to watch Arsenal play, and I can be in North London every time I want to," he added.
Rickman suffered a nasty knee injury that tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and underwent surgery in 2016.
Then, he found a new light in music and had to halt his football dream.
"But the Lord showed me another way and said Now take this path, my son. On this path, I have met many amazing people I might not have met initially."
Indeed, Rickman has met amazing people, as through music, the calm artist met TV and radio host and socialite Sheila Gashumba, and the two have since confessed intimacy for each other.
"So when the coin flips in your life, it's still a coin, and you can use it to buy yourself something."
"The sides may change, but the value of the coin is still the same," Rickman added in a passionately delivered message.
The star has since kept around football, playing for fitness and supporting his dream clubs, KCCA FC and Arsenal.
