The Super Eagles of Nigeria  are still searching for their first win of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo and put on Angry looking faces as they touched down in Rwanda to face the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

The shot from long-range stunned Francis Uzoho as Zimbabwe took a lead to the halftime break.

The Super Eagles started the second half with purpose as Head Coach Jose Peseiro introduced Bayern Leverkusen star Victor Boniface and Leicester City Kelechi Iheanacho.

The breakthrough would come in the 67th minute when Iheanacho latched on to a ball by Moses Simon.

The Super Eagles failed to create much to win the game, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Nigerians pile on Uzoho for long-range goal conceded against Zimbabwe

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was blamed for his role as the Super Eagles drew against Lesotho and now some fans believe he is at fault for the goal against Zimbabwe.

The goal was from a distance and some Nigerian football fans believe he should have done better.

The frustration of Nigerian football fans and Uzoho is not new to the social media trends.

Nigerian football fans lambasted Uzoho for errors in the international friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique last month.

Now it appears they are fed up with the veteran goalkeeper who was at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and was also at fault as the Super Eagles against the Black Stars of Ghana which eliminated them in the playoffs for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
