Awoniyi is back in Nigeria after helping Nottingham Forest avoid relegation in the Premier League.

Awoniyi paid a visit to Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, on Thursday, June 8.
Awoniyi, a native of Kwara State, gave the first-class monarch, who is now on vacation in England, a duplicate of his jersey.
The first-class king, who just celebrated his 27th year in power, was greeted by Awoniyi while on vacation in London.
Awoniyi, a Kwara State native, gave the Emir an original of his jersey during the visit, and the Emir also offered prayers for the former Union Berlin striker.
The former Liverpool striker found and developed his desire to become a player while growing up in Ilorin.
The current English Premier League campaign has seen 25-year-old Awoniyi score crucial goals for Nottingham Forest.
Football is another passion of the Emir of Ilorin. The most notable aspect of his participation in the sport was his election as NFA Vice President.
In 1988, he served as the chairman of the Nigerian delegation to the Olympics in Seoul.
