Toni Kroos on retirement
Following Germany's exit, from Euro 2024, Kroos announced his retirement from football and shared an emotional message with football fans.

In a detailed message on his social media platforms, Kroos stated that he cherished his 17 years as a football professional.
He also thanked his wife, friends, parents and children for their support on the journey.
He said, "So thats it. But before i take a break and at least try to realize what happened over the last 17 years i don’t want to miss the opportunity to say thank you to everyone accepting me how and who i am.
"Thanks to all my fans around the world for your unconditional support.
"Thanks to all my clubs and coaches for believing in me. Thanks to all my teammates for making me feel welcome anytime.

In Germany, Kroos is something of an exception as After helping Germany win the 2014 World Cup, Kroos left Bayern to pursue success in Europe, in contrast to many of his teammates on the German and Bayern teams at the time, like Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm, and Thomas Müller, who all stayed put and won Bundesliga titles but had less success in Europe.
