Super Eagles 3-2 Mozambique: Nigerians want Uzoho investigated for bribery
Some Nigerians believe Uzoho is making mistakes on purpose after another disaster in Super Eagles 3-2 win against Mozambique.
Uzoho caused a 2-2 tie with Saudi Arabia by deflecting a cross into his own net.
The Super Eagles' second goal conceded in their 3-2 triumph over the Mambas of Mozambique was similarly the result of the 24-year-old's error.
Supporters and critics lost their minds over his performances in both games.
Uzoho responded to his critics by posting a message on his Snapchat story.
He posted a photo of him with a message that said, “Do it if it’s easy.”
Uzoho reactions
When Uzoho made a mistake in the 2-2 tie with the Saudi Arabian Green Falcons, Nigerian football supporters blasted him, drawing comparisons between him and Andre Onana of Manchester United.
Following yet another error in the Super Eagles' victory against Mozambique, Nigerian football supporters were furious with Uzoho.
Some football supporters in Nigeria think that in order for Uzoho to be selected for the national squad, he must bribe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) members.
Nigerian football fans used Nnadozie as a role model for Uzoho to follow.
Uzoho apologizes to Nigerian football fans
Uzoho has now taken to his official social media platforms to apologize to Nigerian football fans.
"It has come to my attention that my recent Snapchat has not been my best behaviour towards you as my loyal fans.
"I apologise for this as it was not my intention to conduct myself in such manner toward the fans who have supported and motivated me through my career.
"My actions were more as a result of frustration stemming from the actions of someone in my circle (will keep the identity private for now).
"Accepting criticsm is part of my job and one that I often welcome from the people who continue to support me.
"I accept your criticisms with the utmost respect and understanding that you all want me to do better.
"I want you all to know that I continue to grow daily as a person and in my career and you all are a vital part of my growth and success.
"My actions are aimed to reflect this and will continue to do so.
"In Christ alone."
