Uganda women’s senior netball team, the She Cranes seem to have found a new theme song ahead of the 2023 Vitality Netball World Cup due next month in Cape Town, South Africa.
For starters, the She Cranes were a crowd favourite at their recent international outings capturing attention for their swift dance strokes.
At the Fast5 Series held in New Zealand last year, the She Cranes were a subject of global attention pulling off enchanting dance moves after shocking the world’s top ranked nation, Australia, felling them 32-30.

Ahead of the 2023 World Cup, the team have taken on Rickman’s new song ‘Beautiful Mami’.
In a video shot from the team’s training base in Kamwokya, the girls, all clad in She Cranes jerseys are seen dancing joyfully to the new hit song in town, showcasing the jovial and vibrant mood in the training camp.
The video attracted the attention of former Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga who retweeted: “She Cranes oyee!”
She Cranes coach Fred Mugerwa is expected to announce the final World Cup squad in June.
The 2023 Netball World Cup is set to throw-off July 28th.
