Kampala Queens one win away from maiden title
Kampala Queens FC could be crowned champions of the FUFA Women's Super League if they can claim victory in their next outing.
This is after their 1-0 win over second-placed Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga WFC at Lubaga on Saturday.
Kampala Queens captain Shamirah Nalugya scored the all important goal of the game in the 20th minute as her side returned to winning ways following a 1-1 draw with Makerere University WFC last week.
The Queens of Soccer's unbeaten run remains intact after managing 12 wins and a draw from 13 games.
Hamza Lutalo's charges have now taken their tally to 37 points on top of the 10-team log and need only a single win in the remaining five games to be crowned the 2022/23 FWSL champions.
They are 15 points ahead of Uganda Martyrs.
In their next outing, Kampala Queens will host UCU Lady Cardinals FC on March 26th, while Uganda Martyrs will visit Makerere University on the same day.
