Ogunkunle defeated Maxime Thomas 3-1 to book a place in the Semi final.

Isau Ogunkunle has continued his remarkable journey at the 2024 Paralympic Games, securing a place in the semifinals of men's Singles Class 4 Para-Table Tennis.

In a thrilling match, Ogunkunle defeated the home favourite, Maxime Thomas, a triple Paralympic bronze medalist, by a score of 3-1.

Having previously reached the quarterfinals in Tokyo 2021, this is the first time he has advanced to the semifinals.

As he prepares for his semifinal match, the Nigerian athlete will be aiming to continue his impressive run and secure a medal for his country.

Bolaji wins Nigeria's first MEDAL at the 2024 Paralympic Games

Meanwhile, Pulse Sports reported that Eniola Bolaji was the first African para-athlete to win a medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Bolaji beat Ukrainian Oksana Kozyna in two straight sets (21-9, 21-9) in Para Badminton to clinch Bronze on Monday morning.

Bolaji secured her spot in the last four by defeating India's Mandeep Kaur 2-0 (21-8, 21-9) in the women's singles SL3 quarter-finals.

However, the 18-year-old suffered defeat in the semi-final to a Zuxian (21-16, 21-17) before she bounced back to win bronze.
