Blessing Danjuma will be representing Nigeria in Tennis at the World University Games.
A student of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State, Blessing Danjuma, has revealed that he is going to China to make the country proud.
Pulse Sports reported that the games are scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 8, 2023.
Blessing is one of the 75 student-athletes who were selected from 22 universities to represent Nigeria in seven different sports disciplines.

The World University Games will flag off on July 28 in Chengdu, China.
'I want to change the narrative'
The 400-level student told Pulse Sports Nigeria that she is going to China to change the narrative that Nigerian Youths are scammers.
The History and International Studies student also vowed to Educate the world about Nigerian Culture.
She said, "My role as an athlete is to promote the spirit of Nigeria at the International University Sports and Foster Cultural Exchange during the FISU Games by playing by the rules and abiding by those rules, because of the notion that we scammers. Also, I'm going to educate them about our cultural diversity."

Nigeria set to miss World University Games over funding
75 student-athletes were selected from 22 universities to represent Nigeria in seven different sports disciplines.
On her expectations in Chengdu, she added, "I am expecting an experience different from the ones I have, meeting and playing with different players."
Nigeria is expected to compete for honors in seven games, including Track and Field, Swimming, Badminton, Judo, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Tennis.

Recall that the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) encountered significant financial challenges in its preparations for this international sporting event, forcing the association to rely heavily on universities for qualified athletes.
