Alcaraz aims to build on Wimbledon Victory
Alcaraz, who emerged victorious at Wimbledon, is determined to continue his upward trajectory in the world of tennis.
The young Spaniard expressed his ambition to establish himself among the sport's greats.
"It’s a great start to my career, but I have to keep going. I have to keep building my path. At the end of my career, I want to sit at the same table as the big guys. That’s my main goal. That’s my dream right now," Alcaraz stated.
Djokovic seeks first Olympics Gold
On the other side of the net, Djokovic is eager to secure his first Olympic gold medal. The Serbian star overcame Lorenzo Musetti to reach the final, a feat he described as a significant achievement.
"This is a big deal. Just to secure a higher medal for the first time for my country, whatever happens on Sunday, is a huge source of pride, honour, and happiness and that’s why I celebrated the way I did," Djokovic said.
Djokovic has encountered mixed fortunes at previous Olympics, finishing fourth in London 2012 and Tokyo 2020, while suffering a shock first-round exit in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
