VOLLEYBALL UCU Doves captain Gideon Angiro joins Rwanda's APR
Angiro has previously played for Nemostars and KCCA in Uganda but also tried out a pro stint in Albania before returning to join the Doves team.
Angiro, who led UCU to the National Volleyball Finals, is one of the big prospects in Ugandan volleyball and is eyeing a professional career.
Angiro caught the eye of many after featuring for the Volleyball Cranes in the CAVB African Nations Volleyball Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.
In that tournament, Angiro filled the void left by Malinga, who was unavailable for Shilla Omuriwe's charges.
With REG winning the league last season, both Gisagara and APR will be looking to challenge for the same honours when the season volleys off.
Will the Rwandan league attract more Ugandan talent before the transfer window closes? Only time will tell.
