One more victory will hand KCCA their first league title since 2006 but Omuriwe knows the series are not over until they get another three sets.

KCCA Ladies led Ndejje Elites 1-0 in the National Volleyball League semifinals before capitulating to lose two games in succession and get eliminates last season.

If that was a debt, the Kasasiro Girld paid back in the same currency this season, coming from a game down to level the series and go on to win 2-1 in the semis.

It is now three wins a row for Shilla Omuriwe’s charges, who came from a set down to beat Sport-S 3-1 and take Game One of the finals.

One more victory will hand KCCA their first league title since 2006 but Omuriwe knows the series are not over until they get another three sets.

“We have told the girl that anybody coming on a good day can win this volleyball game,” Omuriwe told Pulse Sports ahead of Saturday’s Game Two.

“What we did in Game One is history and they know it. We have to now focus on winning the next game,” she added.

KCCA have the talent and experience required to win the title but have crumbled under pressure in the recent past.

Joan Tushemereirwe, Margaret Namyalo, Zainah Kagoya and Eunice Amuron are some of the seasoned campaigners on the team and played like it in game One.

But having split the regular season games with Sport-S, they are well aware that the fight is still on.

Malic Damulira’s charges played like they are one decent attacker short. The void left by Diana Asiimwe could be felt in different moments of the game as Sport-S streak to break.

Renata Kamahoro and Comfort Tumusiime faded along the way in Game One and might need to go the entire distance if Sport-S is to force a decider.

KCCA will be hoping to close the series in Game Two while Sport-S can only win their first ever league title by first of all winning on Saturday to stretch the series.
