VOLLEYBALL KCCA end 17 year wait as they cruise past Sport-S to win the National Volleyball League title
KCCA Ladies ended their 17-year thirst for the National Volleyball League title following a 2-0 sweep of Sport-S in the finals.
The event, held on Thursday morning, started with the team having a trophy parade from MTN Omondi Stadium through the city and up to City Hall.
KCCA defeated Sport-S 2-0 in the finals to win their first league title in 17 years and, in turn, qualify for the Africa Club Championship.
The Lord Mayor also revealed that the authority is keen on helping the club upgrade their home ground in Naguru to sort out the infrastructure problems.
KCCA's last league title had come in 2006, and the 2023 title is expected to give the team a lift to more success.
One year from now, KCCA will be expected to represent Uganda at the Africa Club Championship.
