VOLLEYBALL ‘Uganda too broke to send Volleyball Cranes to Africa Cup’ -Players told
Uganda finished fifth at the continental showpiece in Kigali, Rwanda, two years ago but will not have the opportunity to build on that.
With their backs against the wall, Uganda rallied back in the third frame to take it 26-24 and stretch the game into the fourth set.
But despite a spirited fight, the Lady Cranes fell short, losing the set 25-22 to settle for eighth place in the tournament.
Uganda leaves the stage with three wins and five losses, and head coach Tonny Lakony will look to build on that going into future engagements.
